Remember going to camp? The camaraderie among kids in your cabin. The sense of pride and self-esteem in
completing challenges you never thought youd undertake, let alone finish. Kids with epilepsy/seizure
disorder make those memories every summer at Camp Frog!
Children with epilepsy like all children need to experience and enjoy outdoor recreation. The
EFWCP sponsors two weeklong, overnight summer camping programs called Camp Frog. This nationally
recognized activity allows kids with epilepsy/seizure disorders to be integrated into a typical camping experience
with hundreds of other children. The overnight program is available to boys and girls with epilepsy/seizure
disorders from grades 4 to 11. Campers enjoy a host of activities, such as arts and crafts, campfire sing-alongs,
swimming, team games, sailing, archery, and horseback riding.

Camp staffs include EFWCP counselors, with additional support from medical staff. All camp staff members
receive specialized training in seizure recognition and first aid. Medical staff includes a licensed
pediatric neurologist and a registered nurse practitioner. Scholarships and financial assistance are
available to eligible campers.
Were really fortunate to have the support of pediatric neurologists and nurses for each week of
camp, said the EFWCP children and family services coordinator and contact person for Camp Frog.
These medical professionals attend camp along with the EFWCP so we never have to worry about
medical supervision for the children. And, the kids dont have to worry about being sent home if they
have a seizure at camp. The physician is right there to provide whatever treatment might be necessary.
Camp Frog is a nationally recognized program for children who have epilepsy or a seizure disorder. In addition
to having medical supervision around the clock for the entire week of camp at both Camp Frog locations, the
EFWCP provides additional counselors for each of the camper groups that include children who experience
seizures. These counselors, along with the entire camp staff, receive special seizure recognition and first aid
training to ensure the safety of all campers.
Activities available at camp include archery, horse back riding, a four-story climbing tower, sand volleyball,
basketball, soccer, hiking, fishing, camp fires, late night talks with friends, and much, much more. So kids,
pack your camping gear and join us at Camp Frog! We promise a great week of new friendships, games and
fun. Dont take our word for it.
