Scholarship Program

Epilepsy Foundation Western/Central Pennsylvania congratulates the recipients of this year’s annual college scholarship program. These five outstanding individuals, all of whom are faced with a seizure disorder or epilepsy, will each receive a $1,000 scholarship from EFWCP. Winners were selected based on several factors, including their ability to maintain a positive academic grade average and overcome adversity.


2008 Scholarship Recipients

Carol Ciacco

Carol A Ciacco, a graduate of Greensburg-Salem High School, will attend Robert Morris University to major in accounting.



Anthony Maffei

Anthony M. Maffei, a graduate of Baldwin High School, will attend Community College of Allegheny College to major in computer technology/web design.



Marriles Sout

Marriles Sout, a graduate of McGuffey High School, will attend California University of Pennsylvania to major in social work.



Matthew Steele

Matthew Steele, a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School, will attend LaSalle University to major in social work.



Leila Zorzie

Leila Zorzie, a graduate of North East High School, will attend Clarion University of Pennsylvania to major in early childhood education/special education.
