Plasma Ball Demonstration

You can gain a better understanding of what happens inside a person’s brain when they have a seizure by inspecting a plasma ball lamp.

Most of the time, there is no problem. All of the synapses are firing normally, and electrons are flowing to their proper destination.

Now something out of the ordinary happens. Touch the globe, and instead of their normal path, all the electrons concentrate to one place; they flow to your finger.

This is a good simulation of what happens inside someone’s brain during a seizure.
