Q.	What motivated you to become involved with the EFWCP?
A.	One of my personal goals is to help people who have epilepsy or a seizure disorder to view life from a positive perspective and to educate others to the fact that most of us have just that, a positive outlook on life. It’s about vigor, enthusiasm, passion, motivation and enjoying life! Seize control of your medical condition, regain your confidence, move on and make plans. Life is full of hope and possibilities.

Q.	How can the EFWCP help adults who have epilepsy or a seizure disorder?
A.	The staff at the EFWCP is available to help you put together a plan for your life. There’s information about new treatments for controlling your seizures, help finding a new job, networking with other adults in your community, referrals to all sorts of community resources and many ways for you to support others who may be struggling with epilepsy.

Each year hundreds of adults who have epilepsy, their spouses, friends and family members contact the EFWCP for information and advice. This initial contact is often made shortly after a person has been diagnosed with epilepsy or when someone is coping with some sort of issue in their life that might be related to having epilepsy or a seizure disorder.

Whether you’re simply looking for information about your medical condition and recent developments in the treatment of epilepsy or you need some direction on where to find legal assistance or access to health insurance, the EFWCP is a resource available to you. We understand that epilepsy doesn’t have to dominate your life.
