Q. What inspired you to contact EFWCP?
A. I was applying to colleges and was looking into scholarship opportunities. When I saw the piece in the newsletter, I figured that I would apply. I was awarded one of the scholarships in 2002 and now attend Mercyhurst College. After receiving the scholarship, I wanted to give back and became a camp counselor for Camp Frog in 2003.
Q. What would you tell someone that wants to contact the EFWCP?
A. I would definitely have that person call. There are so many ways to be active within the foundation. Teen Getaway is a great way to spend the weekend doing fun activities with other teens and you are away from your parents for a few days. There are other social events throughout the year as well, like a day at Carnegie Science Center and bowling. Also, don’t forget about Camp Frog and the scholarship!

For Teenagers

Being a teen is tough. School and parents are on your back, so don’t let your seizures get you down, too.

Sure you have questions about your seizures. Get the answers to questions on driving, dating, medication, and side effects at the website
Wanna Know.

It is also important to let certain people know about your seizures. Who Do I Tell can help you figure out the people you want to know about your seizures. You can help them understand seizures better and they can help you in return.

If you have any other questions or need information contact the Children & Family Services Coordinator at 800-361-5885 or staff@efwp.org.
