is a fun and convenient way to help explain epilepsy to your brother or sister, friends or classmates —
and it’s free. |

Epilepsy is a kind of illness that only happens sometimes. Here are some things to remember about seizures:
- Epilepsy is not catching. You cannot get it from someone else and they cannot get it from you.
- You cannot swallow your tongue during a seizure.
- Do not put anything in the mouth of someone having a seizure.
- You did not get seizures because of something bad that you or your family did. It just happened.
- Little seizures can make you see, hear, or smell things that no one else sees, hears, or smells.
Not remembering these things does not make you crazy.
- Having seizures does not mean that you are less smart than other people.
- Have fun! You can have a good time playing sports and doing things your friends can do!
