3rd Annual Fair Play Event

The 3rd Annual Fair Play event will be held at Emmerling Community Park in Indiana Township on Saturday, July 9, 2011 from 3pm—7pm, rain or shine! The event is held to honor the memory of 7 year old Emma Bursick who passed away in July 2008 from SUDEP, sudden unexplained death in epilepsy. Heading the efforts are Emma’s parents, Joe & Shannon Bursick, and her grandmother, Jan Boyd.

The $5 entrance fee includes admission to the inflatable play areas, arts and crafts, various performances, pony rides, climbing wall & a trackless train. Monies are also raised by selling game tickets, concessions, t-shirts, bracelets and silent auction items.

The inaugural event, which took place on July 11, 2009, was title sponsored by Highmark, Inc. and brought together over 1,000 people who showed up to join us in raising over $45,000 for the Emma Bursick Memorial Fund to help promote SUDEP awareness.

Please join us once again on July 9, 2011 to level the playing field against epilepsy and SUDEP.
