Family Fun Run/Walks

Last summer more then 2,500 people throughout Pennsylvania joined the Pittsburgh Pirates and Harrisburg Senators in the Family Fun Run/Walks to benefit Epilepsy. The run/walks have become a cornerstone of the EFWCP’s special events. Epilepsy Foundation Board member, Joyce Bender, says “It is so inspiring to see large companies, families and individuals come out to support such a wonderful cause.”

Professional baseball players, team mascots, and local radio and television personalities are on hand to lead the day’s festivities. It all begins with a run/walk course that winds through the beautiful city. Participants may then move on to a one-of-a-kind tailgate party, where they can enjoy food and beverages donated by local sponsors. Prizes are awarded to the teams and individuals that raise the most money. All participants are eligible for a free ticket to a baseball game, a commemorative T-shirt, and other fabulous items.
