Fundraising Events

The Epilepsy Foundation Western/Central Pennsylvania holds several fundraising events throughout the year to support our local programs and services. We start the year off with our “Mardi Gras” event, which coincides with the renowned New Orleans Mardi Gras festival. In Westmoreland County we have our “Sports Dinner and Auction.”

The largest event(s) that we sponsor are our 5-K run/2-mile walk “Family Fun Run/Walks.” These are co-sponsored by one major league and one minor league professional baseball team: The Pittsburgh Pirates and the Harrisburg Senators. We also participate in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community in Erie, PA. These events are a great opportunity to enjoy fun, exercise, food, prizes and a chance to raise some money to support programs for people with epilepsy.
