Fundraising Events

The Epilepsy Foundation Western/Central Pennsylvania holds several fundraising events throughout the year to support our local programs and services. We start the year off with our “Mardi Gras” event, which coincides with the renowned New Orleans Mardi Gras festival. In Westmoreland County we have our “Sports Dinner and Auction.” September brings our annual “Froggy’s Golf Classic” which has been a mainstay for over 20 years.

The largest event(s) that we sponsor are our 5-K run/2-mile walk “Family Fun Run/Walks.” These are co-sponsored by one major league and two minor league professional baseball teams: The Pittsburgh Pirates, the Harrisburg Senators and the Erie SeaWolves. These events are a great opportunity to enjoy fun, exercise, food, prizes and a chance to raise some money to support programs for people with epilepsy.
