WHY. . .
As some of you may know, the Epilepsy Foundation Western/Central Pennsylvania, in partnership with the Bursick Family of Indiana Township, has established the Emma Bursick Memorial Fund in honor of 7 year old Emma Bursick who passed away in July 2008 from Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP). In order to raise monies in support of this fund to promote SUDEP awareness and research, the Bursick family started the Fair Play event on July 11, 2009.
We’d like to invite you to participate in the 2nd annual Fair Play event on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Emmerling Community Park in Indiana Township from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. It is a day of family fun that includes the countless things that brought joy and happiness to Emma: pony rides; bounce houses; a trackless train; games; crafts; balloons; bubble machines; water play; music; food and so much more!
We are pleased to announce that Highmark has once again agreed to be the title sponsor of this year’s event. The EFWCP and the Bursick Family are truly grateful to the many individuals and organizations that supported the inaugural Fair Play event last summer. We hope, if you are able, that you will join us again on July 10th as we celebrate Emma's life and continue the fight against epilepsy and SUDEP.
