The 21st Annual Pittsburgh Pirates Fun Run/Walk was held on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at PNC Park. The aroma of 100 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts filled the air as more than 1,600 event participants took over the North Shore raising over $150,000 to help "Make Every Step Count" for epilepsy.
Before the start of the race, Judy Painter, Denis McCarthy, Joyce Bender and Christine Griffin took time to recognize three of this year's EFWCP Scholarship Recipients, Jordan Shawley, Colin Wagaman, and Courtney Durgan. Congratulations!
We were delighted to once again welcome back Jimmy Krenn from WDVE and to welcome Sally Wiggin from WTAE as our co-chairs of this year's event. Special thanks to both Jimmy & Sally.
